I set up Marketing Mentors as a platform for Startups and Small Businesses to help get your marketing done.
I wanted to create a case study with Marketing Mentors to put together all of our teachings, those tried and tested practices.
My goal is to put these practices to the test and make these high-level tactics accessible to Startups and Small Businesses who need that extra help getting their marketing strategy in place.

I believe in putting my teachings into action. That’s why I’m going to share with you my origin story and tell you my ‘why’.

As a consultant in Business, I would start all new clients off with a strategy. This made things personable.
It would create a roadmap for them to execute on.
It would create trust and credibility between myself and the business.
AND it would clearly map out step by step, everything they needed to do.
Creating this custom strategy and plan as a consultant comes with a hefty price tag though. That price often puts these services beyond the reach of most startups and small businesses.
I wanted to make this customized approach and proven marketing strategies accessible to businesses without the false promises of magic success.
I wanted to arm them with the same information and toolkit that the best marketers in the world are using to grow businesses.
The information Marketing Mentors provide is from the best marketing minds in the world. It filters out the noise of self-proclaimed gurus looking to make money out of desperation and false hope, and it puts the good stuff in one place.
My goal with Marketing Mentors is to empower more people to leave a positive mark on the world.
Pain Points of Digital Marketers & Entrepreneurs… and My Solution.
But First, My struggles…
I spent the first part of my career in the corporate world of Tourism and Aviation. Even though I loved my work there I had a burning desire to do my own thing, particularly in the online space.
Thus was my first business born. I started designing a digital solution for the travel sector. I created customer feedback apps that allowed the business to capture customer feedback at a point of experience. Over a 10 year period, I built this business, I saw it start and grow working as a consultant. Coming from the corporate sector, it was a huge learning curve, but also very exhilarating.
In the same 10 years of moderate successes, I’ve also experienced the struggles of a startup and in hindsight, I wasted a lot of time and money.
I’d take advice from anyone that gave it.
I’d have information overwhelm.
Everyone had the ‘secret’. Everyone had the trick.
Who should I trust?
The ‘how’ was overwhelming:
How much money should I spend on learning? How do I get new clients? How do I show my credibility? How do I retain clients? How to get results for clients? How to not get burnt out? How to filter the noise? How to stay productive? How to win?
You get it! I could go on. It’s the life of a marketer!
My Point of No Return…
It isn’t that dramatic but as a marketer or entrepreneur, I’m sure you’ll relate!
As a result of all of the above issues, every time I would set up a new client or a new project I would get distracted by a new ad, a new webinar, ‘the missing piece to the puzzle’…a classic case of shiny object syndrome.
However over time, I spent the money learning, I researched the courses. Ultimately, I took the plunge and invested in a high-profile mastermind group! I made the leap of faith to invest in myself and my growth.
This was really the point where I decided to share my own resources and information with my clients (and now you) but in a way that didn’t require you to break the bank to access it.
Because, yes, there is a lot of value in the mastermind groups and expensive courses, but after 10 years of my own grind, I had most of it in my head anyway, and I had most of it saved as files too.
It’s this knowledge and experience that I want to share with you. And guess what?
So far it’s working, not just for myself and my business but for others just like you.
